The Greater Wakefield Resource Center and our outstanding kitchen staff are excited to welcome Chef Rachel to our team! Rachel officially started with us on May 23, and we recently asked her how it’s going in the kitchen:
I have really enjoyed my first few months here at the center. The kitchen staff is the friendliest I have worked with in the last 25 years – I believe this is due to the fact that everyone is really happy to be here. The volunteers work like they are being paid – I guess appreciation is their pay because they give it their all every day. The entire staff has been very encouraging and welcoming. It is like a family with our leader John being the head of our kitchen family.
